There is also a possibility to do a dropdown with "Custom URL..." option, that clicked, will give the user opportunity to enter a custom URL to Getty vocabulary. It is non-trivial to implement, so we don't do this for the upcoming release, but we can add it in the future as you wish. The custom value would be validated against the format of Getty URLs (not checking if the URL points to the valid material).
